Party Planning

Plan the Party

Every great party needs a great plan. Ensure your party’s success by reading Vancouver Bachelorette’s tips on hosting a great party!

Guest List

The most important part is who you’re going to invite. Consider your choices carefully as some people aren’t quite up for sex talk. The best thing to do is to create the largest list of people to invite and then trim it down to include only those you really want. It is also a good idea to invite more people than you think is necessary as many people flake out. When deciding who to invite, you should think about the following:

Friends: No need to explain this group. You might as well invite all of them!

Relatives: Bring your cousins, aunts, or even grandma – you never know who’s interested.

Activity Groups: Inviting people from groups or classes you are involved in is a great idea. Ladies from your gym, Pilates sessions, or college classes. Don’t forget to consider people from your Facebook or MySpace groups.

Work-Related: Colleagues from work can be iffy choices but you never know – choose carefully. Also, invite your favourite friend from the hairdressers or grocery shop.

Others: What about all of the people you always intend to hang out with but never do? Old friends possibly or maybe someone you’ve recently re-connected with? This could be a great opportunity to finally connect with those people!

You can also ask the people you’ve invited to bring their friends too! Vancouver Bachelorette believes in “the more the merrier” so invite, invite, invite! Don’t forget to use our electronic invitation system to easily send out cool invitations to your whole guest list. Or feel free to print off one of our Vancouver Bachelorette Special Invitations.

Words of Wisdom

Even though it might seem like a great idea to invite your manager, aunt, or someone close to your heart…will they feel comfortable at this type of party? You should always make sure that all people invited will feel comfortable enough to enjoy themselves. Also, will the people you know feel comfortable buying erotic gear in front of everyone else? It’s a good idea to keep these points in mind when creating your invitation list.

What’s Next

Once the e-invites or print outs are sent out you should call everyone who doesn’t respond within your time frame. Life is busy and full of distractions, so following up with your invites is appreciated. Also, you might want to send out a reminder a couple of days before the event. People tend to forget things and this will also help you get an idea as to how many people are actually coming.

Info

A lot of people haven’t attended a Vancouver Bachelorette Party before. You should let them know the following:

Start Time This is really important as you don’t want to start the party without anyone but you also don’t want to keep people waiting. Punctuality is a party-must.

Payments Visa, MasterCard, Debit, and Cash are all acceptable methods of payment. Let your guests know that they will be paying for their erotic gear during and after the party. If they don’t know how much money they should expect to spend, tell them to check out our store website at http://www.theartofloving.ca.

Food & Drinks If you want your guests to bring food and drinks potluck style let them know in advance so that they can prepare ahead of time. BYOB is a good policy as it saves you the hassle (and costs) of providing alcohol.

Clothing If you have are trying to set the mood and style for the party, let your guests know about the dress code. Doing it casual can make it more comfortable, doing it classy can make it fun. Or even better, make it a naughty costume event. Theming your party can be a great idea!

Party Time

You deserve to enjoy the evening as much as everyone else! Plan your food and drinks ahead of time and keep them simple. If alcohol is being served, make sure to moderate it – you don’t want anyone to get sick or ruin the fun for someone else. A drink before or during the presentation is a good way to get people to loosen up but you should save most of the drinking for after.

Vancouver Bachelorette parties are supposed to be fun for everyone including the host. Our reps try to connect with everyone but are especially focused on connecting with you and getting you involved. If you have any questions or concerns about this please contact us at any time – phone or email!

Theming the Party

Bachelorette and birthday parties already have a theme but you can always spice it up. We’ve come up with some theme ideas to help you out:

Patio – If it’s a sunny day and you have a patio, consider doing it outside and serving cool refreshments.

Naughty – Get your guests to wear something naughty or erotic

Fancy – Make it extra classy and have everyone wear their best attire.

Global – Have each guest bring a drink, dessert, or food dish from a different country

Of course you can always have the party in-store where the environment is already perfect for a sex toy party or private seminar!
